QRC Is a non-profit organization fiscally sponsored by New Sun Rising. We’re devoted to creating a space for the lesser-served queer community, including trans, non-binary, and neurodivergent folx in the Millvale and Pittsburgh areas.
We work with Harold’s Haunt and Maude’s Paperwing Gallery to offer a variety of programs to provide spaces that bring a sense of belonging and address issues with isolation, homophobia, non-acceptance, and internalized confusion.

Athena’s the heart and soul behind the operation! QRC wouldn’t be here without her dedication to creating spaces and programs for her local community and beyond.
Alex is Athena’s right hand! Handling organizational strategy and grant writing, they’re on top of everything relating to structure and development.
Blake makes “Big Picture” ideas a reality for programs and events! Working on the organizational level, they find the space in QRC to make the fun stuff happen.
Kim works out the little details to make events happen! He makes sure everyone has what they need to provide the best experience for the community.
James puts the Resource in Queer Resource Center! They gather and disperse information and materials for both programs and individual mutual aid requests.
Shannon is QRC’s social butterfly! They make online posts, answer emails, and reach out to potential funding opportunities.
